Every two years, the aluminium industry presents the European Aluminium Award to honour the best new developments in the industry. The European Aluminium Award “Industrial Design & Engineering” is the leading international prize of the aluminium industry. It pays tribute to the innovative business approach of the participating companies and opens up new marketing possibilities for them. With this seal of quality, newly formed companies can compete with established companies and generate new business.
All in all, six awards will be presented in two categories:

- Building & Construction
- Machinery & Electronics
Consumer Products
- Design
- Innovation
- Sustainability/Environment
A special jury price will be awarded for outstanding achievements.
At this year’s ALUMINIUM 2008, the award will be presented for the sixth time. The nominated products will be presented in the Galeria.
